Prelim Information

Photogenic: Please bring one picture (typically head and
shoulders) that shows the photogenic qualities of your
child. They will be returned and can be any size up to
8x10, color or black and white.

Interview/Playtime: Cinderella uses a "closed" interview
backstage with the judges, with contestants wearing
simple, tailored dresses or skirts/jackets. Boys and babies
will have playtime with the judges instead and can bring
one chaperone (dress is casual). This phase of
competition is designed for the judges to get to know the
contestants a little bit and to get to see them up close.
They will be taken back in small groups.

Partywear Modeling: Contestants will model their formal
wear (street length dresses for ages 0-12, full length
formals for 13 and up, suits or easter-type attire for little
boys). Babies and boys will model with a chaperone.
Modeling is simple and will be taught onstage during a free
workshop held  right before the pageant.

Casualwear Modeling: For young ladies ages 3-26 only
at the preliminary level (prince charmings and babies do
not compete in this event). Capri outfits, pants,
sundresses, skorts, and skirts are all appropriate
(contestants do not generally wear jeans). No hats or
props are allowed. Contestants will introduce themselves
(name, age, and hometown) into the mike at the center X.

Talent/Tot Personality: Young ladies ages 7-26 are
required to compete in Talent competition. They may sing,
dance, cheer, tumble, read a poem, play an instrument,
etc. Time limit is 2.5 minutes. Please bring your music
labeled with your name and turn it in to the sound table
before the pageant. Tots (girls 3-6) do not compete in
talent but instead do a short on-stage one-on-one interview
with the emcee, called "Tot Personality."

The Cinderella Scholarship Program has its own special music for on stage modeling events. These special music selections have magical harp sweeps and bell tones that not only inform and aid the contestants on walking to their marks, but ensures that each child has the same ammount of time on stage.
